{"id":5964,"date":"2020-10-13T14:47:09","date_gmt":"2020-10-13T13:47:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/paradis-guitars.com\/shop\/?post_type=product&#038;p=5964"},"modified":"2026-02-03T16:09:11","modified_gmt":"2026-02-03T16:09:11","slug":"out-13pin-polysubbass","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/paradis-guitars.com\/shop\/product\/out-13pin-polysubbass\/","title":{"rendered":"OutputBoard 13pin for old 19&#8243; PolySubbass"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>this is what you need to make your original Avalon+Polysubbass &#8220;MIDI compatible&#8221;. we do not like this expression since in reality it only sends separate signals of each string through the 13pin DIN connector &#8211; which can feed a Guitar2Midi converter, but you can do a lot more with it:<br \/>\nGuitar-Synths work better than MIDI because they are not limited to NoteOn-NoteOff commands.<br \/>\nThere are plenty guitar effects that work a lot better when they receive each string separate.<br \/>\nI created a <a href=\"http:\/\/hexaphonic.org\">dedicated site<\/a> to this subject!<\/p>\n<p>consider upgrading to the <a href=\"https:\/\/paradis-guitars.com\/guitar-connector\/\">new guitar connector<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>How to use this product:<br \/>\neither you cut the flat cable near the back Neutricon and press a 8 or 10 pin IDC female connector to it, or you replace the complete flat cable (probably because you upgrade to the <a href=\"https:\/\/paradis-guitars.com\/shop\/product\/neutricon-cable-new\/\">newer Neutricon<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>there is a pad for the pin7 which usually is the magnetic (mono) pickup. here it could serve for the Polybass effect signal. a picture shows where you can draw the signal from the original Polysubbass board.
