Description
this is the 7 string version for those who own a Godin Multiac SA or ACS with an RMC polyphonic pickup and electronics (those with a Roland 13pin DIN output!) – except for the newest: about 2017, RMC changed to the tiny SMD parts to fit all onto one board: if you are not sure please unscrew the back plate and verify that you have a stack of two boards. if its only one board, our only solution is to use the Polybass-M Module and not play string 6 and 7 simultaneously.
it also works for the RMC Polydrive II and IV with an additional battery clip. please inform us when you order so we include it.
the point about this version is that the 3 octave dividers are tuned down to work on strings 7, 6 and 5.
in most RMC instruments, the 7th string is joined with the 6th and thus come to the GK synth and create confusion if both strings are played simultaneously. with this board, the 7th string does not interfere with the GK synth.
if you never play the 6th and 7th string at the same time, you can also use the standard 6 string Polybass. thus, the string 7 will trigger the lowest synth channel.
depending on the RMC version you have, either the two strings are soldered together and you do not need to care or the 7th string has a separate input and you need to solder it from there to the Polybass board, we show you how.
Includes:
- 1 Polybass board populated for direct Godin Multiac replacement
- 1 Plexi cover with holes for string volume adjustment
- 5 Rubber caps in different colors for the sliders
