this is the classic high impedance control found in typical electric guitars, volume or tone. can be used in a mixed system to allow a passive traditional magnetic guitar sound output (usually to a guitar amp) and also mix the magnetic to the piezo pickup for a modern low impedance output (usually to a mixing desk or multieffect unit with flat speakers)

it can also work for simple piezo pickup systems, but we rather recomment to preamplify the piezo with >1MOhm input and use a 10kOhm volume control after the preamp.
